Unique Wood and Resin Clocks

The resin clocks are created using pigmented epoxy that is laid out in a prearranged pattern.  Then resin is then allowed to slowly flow until it cures and hardens creating interesting dynamic effects.  Different styles of backings are used including a painted wood back with Arabic numerals, a stained wood back without numerals and a hidden wood back.  The backing is used to help stiffen the resin that is a viscoelastic material that can undergo geometry changes due to gravitational forces.

The fractal burned wood clocks are created on a tree cut cross section.  They are fractal burned with electricity at 10,000 v and then finished with a lightly colored oil stain.  In some creations they are combined with colored resin.
